Welcome to the epitome of versatile destinations – catering effortlessly to cherished family gatherings, convivial dinners among friends, or intimate romantic interludes.
For those who linger beyond dusk, an enriching daybreak awaits with a hearty breakfast at eight, ensuring a vibrant start. Indulge in our historic interior or the sunlit expanse of the South Downs terrace – both reflections of comfort and charm.
Enveloped in discreet yet attentive service, you'll bask in an atmosphere of relaxation. Our menus, thoughtfully orchestrated by Head Chef Ben Miller, unfailingly spotlight the finest seasonal Sussex produce and freshest ingredients.
Our commitment to provenance thrives in collaboration with local farmers, fishermen, and growers. Daily, our larder brims with treasures from beloved local butchers, catches from Brighton & Newhaven Fish day boats, and vine tomatoes from Nutbourne Nursery. Each item a testament to our unwavering pursuit of culinary distinction.
A Classic Sunday Roast is served from the Autumn Equinox, through to the Spring Bank Holiday in May. We'll be offering Roast British Beef, Roast Rump of Lamb and Slow-roasted Belly of Pork. Two courses £37, Three Courses £45.
We hold a Neighbour's Night on the second Thursday of each month. These evenings are a chance to meet your friends and neighbours, and dine together at the only pub in the parish! Open to all within the parish of Sutton & Barlavington, including the villages of Coates, Bignor and West Burton. Next month's menu is available at the Bar.
